Lo Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S è l'ultima creazione della casa cinese. Lanciato il 27 Marzo a Shanghai, si caratterizza per un'estetica molto simile allo smartphone predecessore, ovvero il Mi MIX 2. Questo dispositivo si presenta come un miglioramento del predecessore soprattutto nel comparto multimediale ed in special modo in quello fotografico.
Infatti il nuovo modello si differenzia dal precedente per la presenza di una dual camera posteriore da 12 +12 mega-pixel della Sony, di cui una è teleobiettivo e l'altra wide-angle. Secondo DxOMark, la qualità fotografica di questo dispositivo è di gran lunga superiore a quella del Mi MIX 2. La camera frontale rimane una 5 mega-pixel, sotto il cofano invece troviamo il nuovo processore di casa Qualcomm lo Snapdragon 845 a 10 nm. I tagli di memoria disponibili sono da 6/64 GB, 6/128 GB e 8/256 GB. I colori disponibili sono Nero e Bianco, in entrambi i casi abbiamo una scocca realizzata in ceramica che dona un aspetto molto elegante.
Il display è un'unità da 5.99 pollici in 18:9 con risoluzione Full HD+ e con con tecnologia IPS LCD. La batteria che alimenta il dispositivo è da 3400 mAh ed è compatibile con il Quick Charge 3.0 di Qualcomm, inoltre il Mi MIX 2S è il primo smartphone della casa a godere di ricarica wireless. Infine, il software che muove il tutto è la ben nota interfaccia MIUI 9.5 basata su Android 8.0 Oreo.
