Dal punto di vista del design, abbiamo un device con scocca in lega di alluminio e magnesio, caratterizzato da un'unità display IPS da 5.5 pollici di diagonale con risoluzione Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel ed una densità di pixel di 401 PPI.
Lato hardware lo Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 è mosso dal processore true octa-core MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 con architettura ARMv8 a 64 bit e frequenza di clock da 2.0 GHz. La parte grafica è affidata alla GPU PowerVR G6200, mentre lato memorie troviamo 2/3 GB di RAM LPDDR3 e 16/32 GB di memoria interna di tipo eMMC 5.0 non espandibile.
